Beautiful Large 11.5 Inch Signed Bodil Eje Hand Painted Copper Enamel Charger

ORIGINAL FABULOUS 11.5 INCH SIGNED BODIL EJE HAND PAINTED COPPER ENAMEL CHARGER. We have the privilege to offer you this beautiful signed hand painted richly enameled copper large 11.5 inch charger or platter by noted Danish artist Bodil Eje.

The charger is done hand painted with rich colorful designs and is measuring 11 1/2 inches. Inspired to work with the transparent enamel colors at the meeting with works by the French artist Georges Rouault. She reached the optimal quality with enamel on copper both in crafts and decoration where she shaped the flexible copper plate for dishes or pictures with reliefs in, among other things, boxes and tiles and for example to the Carlsberg brewery with a decoration consisting of four large, deep blue and golden reliefs. Her imagery was abstract and characterized by organic forms. She received the Henry Heerup Award and twice the C.

She exhibited both in Denmark and abroad, including at the Nordic Enamel Triennial in 1990. We will break it down for you upon end of sale in the invoice.
