Beautiful Vintage Hand Painted Russian Collector's Egg Panel Of The Revolution

A stunning hand painted wooden egg by celebrated Russian miniaturist artist Lyusya Zhuk depicting a city scene with sailors wooing women on the street. The inscription translates to "Panel of the Revolution". A masterpiece of the miniaturist's art. This unique piece is meticulously painted in oil on wood, executed under a magnifying glass with details painted with a single-hair brush, then lacquered. Each egg takes at least four weeks' work. This piece bought personally from the artist by my mother in the early 1990s. Hand signed (in Russian) "L Zhuk - 92".
