This is a LONG vintage CLOISONNE necklace with a green background and Blue, Pink, Yellow handpainted beads. You should notice the difference in quality between this necklace and others for sale for less.

This necklace has knots between each bead, a practice of high end makers of real pearls and other valuable beads. There is no clasp-- not needed because of the Length of the Necklace. The hand- painted beads are clear, crisp, and vibrant. The beads are approximately 10 mm each.

The necklace is approximately 30 long longer than many of the others you see for sale. CLOISONNE: Chinese and other artists make Cloisoinne by using a type of soldering or inlays. Silver or gold is fixed in thin strips onto metal objects or beads, one at a time by dividing the bead into individual compartments.

They are then hand painted, creating decorative geometric shapes into which images are affixed via enamel, then fired into permanence in a kiln, allowing for a colorful variety of adornments and colors, usually floral and greenery, with thin gold tracery on the finer pieces.
