VTG Chinese Wood Sweet Meat Box Gilt Beautifully Hand Painted Dragon Crane

Chinese Wood Sweet Meat Box. Gilt Painted Dragon Crane On Glass Lid. This beautiful Set has 9 mauve pink colored porcelain dish trays inside a smooth dark wood box.

The glass lid is colorfully painted with nice bright colors and has gold gilt outlines. There is a fire spewing dragon and an elegant red headed crane. There is a small amount of paint loss in a few areas that are mostly on the bird and part of the gilded circle near the dragon. Please view all photos up close for details.

The wood box is in amazing condition on the outside with only a tiny flea bite nick on one side and very light surface wear on the wood. It has not been polished. The underneath wood where the trays set has some nicks and wear consistent to its age from use. The porcelain trays have no chips, nicks or scratches. Measurements: 11" x 3"x 11.
